Happy Birthday PJ
Today PJ turns 41. It has been 11 years since his death and I still think of him every day. I still miss him so much it hurts. I still go to his grave and cry. I cannot wait until we meet again and we can embrace. I am grateful that we are an eternal family.

Spring Break
Sarah got to teach some of her friends how to make cinnamon rolls over spring break. She is such a nice big sister that on this day she let Thomas and Emma help.
Mikel was walking home from school the Friday before spring break and a neighbor had bags and bags of lemons out for free. The little ones took the wagon down to her house and picked up the lemons. It made for wonderful lemonade. They made pitcher after pitcher of lemonade that week. Yum Yum!!

Congratulations to Trevor and Andrea on their recent engagement!! Trevor is such a romantic, he proposed on Valentines Day!! We love you guys!

Cavalcade of Rhythm 2009
Mikel just participated in the annual Cavalcade of Rhythm. This is where they have like 50 pianos on stage and there are 2 students to every piano and they play a song with each student playing a different, harmonious part of the song. It is really fun to listen to. 
It was held at Mountain View High School again this year. Here is one angle of the stage with the pianos on it.

Next year they will be arranging some of Jon Schmidt's music (Mikel's FAVORITE composer)and playing it at the Cavalcade. Jon Schmidt has agreed to come to the event!! Since Mikel's teacher is in charge of the event next year, she has arranged a private concert by Mr. Schmidt for her piano students!! On the right side of this blog, at the bottom, there is a video bar that shows some of his work. 
Cavlecade was VERY entertaining but Emma was wiped out from a hard day of play.The kids got to meet the evil piano teacher Cruella along with Batman and Robin. Batman and Robin showed Cruella that piano students are not as bad as she makes them out to be.
Cruella was an amazing actress. She is a piano teacher, but she is also a fantastic actress!
